#3 Have a Good Supply of Coupons

Now, I know that you can get some good deals w/out coupons. But, for the most part, having a good supply of coupons is essential to maximum savings. For example, toothpaste may be on sale, and you should only buy items such as this when they are on sale. (Never pay full price for it!) But, how much better a deal you can get, when you buy it on sale AND use a coupon. And, if you have lots of coupons for this item, they buy all you can at this lowest price...hence stockpiling.
From personal experience, my stockpile was next to nothing until I began getting multiple inserts full of coupons. But, if you could see my stockpile now, well, let's just suffice it to say that I had to spend about an hour organizing items, so they would all fit on a shelving system I have in basement. It's all organized which greatly helps in meal planning.
So, the question is "Where do you get all those coupons??" I get that question a lot from curious people in the store who see my binder. Well, it's pretty easy to explain.
  1. Sunday Coupon Inserts: this is definitely where I get most of my coupons
  2. Internet printable sites Some of my favorites are:
    Coupons.com is my favorite
    Red Plum
    Cool Savings
    Grocery Coupon Network
  3. Home Mailers
  4. In Store coupons
