Okay, so I know Advance Auto Parts is not considered a great bargain place...not a place I shop anyway. Well, the frugality in my household is spreading to other members of the family. My husband has replaced 2 car batteries in the last month. By ordering online from Advanced Auto Parts and then driving to the store to pick them up, he saved $20 on one and $40 on the other!! It's a really great deal. So, if you need some things to repair or maintain your car...order it and then pick it up to get a great deal!

Meijer Chi Chi Salsa Fiasco!

Okay, so I was able to get 6 Chi Chi salsas FREE earlier in the week.
Today, I went back to Meijer w/more coupons that I had ordered from .
There were 6 salsas on the shelf, so I got them.
After checking out, I stopped by Customer Service to get a rain check.

They were NOT issuing rainchecks, because they had PULLED the salsa from
the shelves. Apparently, "some lady" came it and wanted to buy all the Chi Chi salsa.
So, in order to get any more, I had to get it from Customer Service. They would only
let me get 6 more. She didn't even want to use all 6 of my coupons. She said the limit on doubling coupons was 2...never at the Milford store! So, does anyone know anything about this?
Are they changing their policy? I'd love to hear your feedback here...I was ready to buy 25!!
It was kinda funny...the two people behind me in line were also wanting rainchecks for Chi Chi salsa!

A Frugal Extreme??

I had been searching for a calendar since mid-December to replace my 2010 one. I have a calendar frame and the calendar to fit it is very large. I usually order it from CBD, because I like a calendar w/Scripture on it. So, I just never found one. Well, come mid- January, I had to take down my 2010. So, I had a bare frame that was looking pretty bad. As I put my 2010 calendar in the filing cabinet where I keep old calendars (Yes, I keep them...why I really don't know!), I noticed that the 2005 Thomas Kinkaid calendar dates are exactly the same as this year. So, you guessed it...I now have a "new" calendar in the frame w/the correct dates and all!! My family rolls their eyes and shakes their heads and some of my frugality!

I am a BZZ agent and tried the new Thomas' Bagel Thins and reviewing them as per my initial post here.
So, I REALLY liked the new Bagel Thins. They were great toasted. I like bagels, but it's too much bread for me. These were perfectly portioned and very tasty. I tried the Whole Wheat variety and would recommend them!
