My daughter, son, and I picked strawberries today at a local orchard...lots of them!!
After she hulled every one of them, I made jam....
Pies!!
And we still have lots to eat. Actually, I'm going to make more jam tomorrow.
But, we'll still have plenty to eat or freeze for later!

I just made jam for the first time this year and it was wonderful! A little thicker than I would have liked but I'm teaching myself. Would love to get your recipe either on email or if you could share on here :) Thanks

I use the recipe in the Sure Jel box.
3 C sugar
4 C mashed berries
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Packet sure jel
1 tsp margarine (to reduce foaming)
If you want it thicker, add more mashed berries...I always do.
